Description: Capturing the poetic beauty of the rivers, marshes and New England Countryside is the primary goal in this three day workshop with American Impressionist and Colorist, Frank Federico. Pastels are the dominant medium, but oils will guide you in the magical world of plein air painting. As a master pastelist, Pastel Society of America and Signature Member of the National Watercolor Society, Federico's response to paintings is with color and panache.
Dates: Tuesday-Friday, May 13-16, 2008, 9 am – 4 pm
Fees: $325 for Members, $350 for Nonmembers

Instructor Bio: Frank Federico is a seasoned artist and signature member of several societies, including the Pastel Society of Painters on Cape Cod, and Degas Pastel Society. His awards include the Grumbacher Gold, Silver Bronze, PSA Awards. He has executed three murals in oil, including the Student Union of The University of Connecticut, Storrs. His paintings
have been exhibited in New Orleans, Florida, New England, Brunei, Stockholm, Tokyo, California, and New Mexico in group and solo exhibits. Mr. Federico conducts workshops around the country and teaches in Connecticut.
