Landscape Painting in Oil with William P. DuffyDescription: During the three day workshop the artist will teach and demonstrate his approach to plein air landscape painting. Approximately one half of the first day will be spent discussing and showing examples of the following.
The second half of the first day we will all do drawings on toned paper in pencil and white charcoal pencil and tonal warm and cool under paintings in alkyd on small stretched toned canvas or panels. If time permits we will progress to full oil palette over painting. Outside on day two the artist will give a quick demonstration followed by the whole class painting. Outside on day three we will all paint assuredly amazing all that happen to pass by. I have progressed the most during those times when I have been willing to risk disaster, laugh and enjoy the painting process. Let that be the theme of this workshop.
