Monoprint Children's Weekend Workshop - Paula Billups
Description: Kids will learn press-free techniques for making monoprints; a very enchanting result can come from using just a few simple tools! Several techniques will be covered and the class will focus on the full process of making art, from conception to execution.
Dates: Two half-days, Saturday and Sunday, December 8 - 9, 9am - 1pm
Fees: $66 for members' kids, $80 for nonmembers' kids

Instructor Bio: Paula Billups came from Texas in 2001 to begin painting studies at the Lyme Academy in Old Lyme, CT where she received her BFA in 2005. Paula's aim in painting is quite plain; she finds the truth of the person or thing presented to her. When painting, she engages fully in empathy for the subject. Her own interest translates to the viewer’s interest and edification.
