Watercolor Landscapes: Fast and Free - Paul Allen Taylor

Description: Attending this workshop will give you some insights into controlling this fantastic medium. Paul will also explain his approach to conceiving and planning his painting with a value sketch. You'll learn how he lays out his perspective and decides what's important about the scene he's going to create. You will see how Paul tackles the basic applications of watercolor while considering textures shapes and edges alike. In the afternoon you get to try what you have seen in the demo that day. Later, we'll discuss works in process and have an informal critique.

By the end of the workshop you will have a good understanding of how to control watercolor for vibrant paintings. These three full days will give you plenty of time to paint and practice what you have learned. Beginners and advance painters will benefit from this session.

Dates: Friday - Sunday, September 21-23, 9 am - 4 pm

Fees: $325 for Members, $350 for Nonmembers

Instructor Bio: Paul Allen Taylor began his painting career after completing his degree in Mechanical Design in 1990. For eight years he continued to work full time while painting evenings. His work soon becoming popular at local outdoor shows and gallery exhibits where received numerous awards for his work in watercolor. He began his teaching work in Adult Continuing Education after numerous requests to do demonstrations and individual instruction. Paul’s work is now widely collected.
