Coffees Country Market. Groceries, Deli sandwiches, coffee, pastries, salads, prepared meals. Directions: Turn right out of LAA, about 4 miles on the right (Laysville). Across from Lake .

Old Lyme Inn. Lunch 12-2:00, dinner 6-9:00 pm, Sunday brunch, 11-3:00. Moderate to pricey, but have new menus under $20 dinner. Reservations a good idea. Grill room and fine dining. Directions: Across from LAA. (860) 434-2600.

Bee & Thistle Inn. 100 Lyme Street. Lunch and Dinner. Sid down, fine dining. Awards winning, romantic, beautiful, not real casual. Lunch - $11-$16, Dinner $21-$30, Sunday Brunch, $14-$18. Directions: Turn left out of LAA, second yellow building on left side. Closed Monday and Tuesday.

The Hideway. Open 7 days, 11 am to closing. Lunch, dinner and bar. Varied menu, consistently good. All prices. Casual to dressy. Directions: Right out of LAA, turn right at light, turn at 2nd right on Halls Road. Tucked back into plaza. (860) 434-3335.

A+P Grocery Store. Full grocery. Directions: Right out of LAA, take right at first light. At first stop light on Halls Road, turn left into plaza. (860) 434-1433.

Hallmark. Ice cream, take out food, seafood. Turn right out of LAA. Take right Turn right at first light (puts you on Halls Road). At 2nd light, turn lift onto Rte. 156. Follow Rte. 156 for about 5 miles. Hallmark Take out in on the right side of the road. (860) 434-8568.

EAST LYME

Flanders Seafood Restaurant and Take Out. Casual lunch and dinner, very fresh and good take out. Turn left out of LAA. Follow this road into East Lyme (major 4-way intersection with McDonalds). At intersection turn left. Flanders Fish is on the left about 3 buildings from the intersection. (800) 242-6055.

CENTERBROOK

Bennie’s Farm Market, 5 Main St. , Centerbrook, CT 06409. Deli, grocery store, drinks. From River front (Connecticut River Museum), head up Main Street . Merge right and down hill to Pratt Street (this is one way). Go to the top of Pratt Street . Merge left and go right up first steep hill (passing church on left). Come to stop sigh, and head straight. Stay straight until your first stop light. Turn right at stop light. Bennie’s is second building past the Sunoco Gas Station on right. (860) 767-8448.
