Draw and Paint the Figure - Hollis Dunlap
Description: Often the quickest way to improve a realist painting is to practice ones drawing skills. This class is designed to present some approaches to drawing which will benefit your ability to construct a successful painting. In the first few classes we will practice composition, line quality, anatomy, proportion, and form, using graphite. Then we will paint a series of small paintings in which we will explore the use of color and value to achieve a convincing sense of light. The goal is to increase your skill at observing angles, proportions, and value which will benefit the ability to paint with clean, vibrant color. Nine students per class, sign up today!
Dates: Tuesdays, 1-4pm, April 1 - May 27
Fees: (Members) $360 for 9 week course, (Nonmembers) $400 for 9 week course
